Sinopec initials Iraq gas field development contract

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, SOMO, the Iraqi state oil marketing organization, and Sinopec initially signed a joint development contract for the Mansuriya gas field with a planned daily output of 300 million cubic feet (about 8.5 million cubic meters).

Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar said at the signing ceremony: "This contract will help increase gas production from the Mansuriya gas field, Iraq's second largest gas field."
