Brief Introduction

2. Working principle and construction
2.1. Working principle
Diesel oil tank is mainly applied to diesel oil storage and supply for diesel engine on electric-driven drilling rig in oil field. After the drilling rig and oil tank are installed, diesel oil will be pumped from oil truck into oil tank by vertical pipe centrifugal pump. On the contrary, when the oil tank is transferred to another location with drilling rig, the diesel oil can also be pumped from diesel oil tank back into oil truck. There is level indicator fixed on diesel oil tank in order to know the oil storage inside. The technical process of oil pipeline is shown in attached drawing.
2.2. Construction of equipment
The diesel oil tank system consists of vertical tank, pump station, and basement. It features in compact and centralized structure, being convenient for installation and operation, and being easy to service and maintenance.
(1) Vertical tank: On top of the tank, there are manhole, inhaling device, and platform. At back of the tank, there are ladder and fixed level indicator in order to know the oil level inside.
Pump station: The oil pump unit is installed in a pump room on the side of the skid base. There are two pumps connected in parallel, which can be able to work solely or together at the same time. The oil inlet of the pump is connected with outlet under the bottom of tank

3. Installation and operation
(1) The oil tank system and its connection with outside should be installed as per the flow chart of oil tank pipeline.
(2) Install power source and check if the power circuit is well installed. Check electric engine to see if the rotation direction is right through commissioning.
(3) Turn on all valves of pipeline and turn on the power.
4. Service and maintenance
(1) Check flanges of pipeline to see if oil leakage occurs. If there is leakage existed, screw down or change gaskets for flanges.
(2) Check electric circuit before turning on，so as to prevent leakage current.
(3) Keep the surface of level indicator clean, so as to watch the level of oil inside diesel tank clearly.
